It wasn’t that far into the future when Jack and Nicole wed. It was a small wedding, only those that Jack wanted to be there, came. It feels really nice to be wanted as the best man. Shortly afterwards the two had a child, a healthy young boy. Jack and I are like brothers now.

Shane did return before the wedding, but didn’t go. He and Lindsey didn’t have a wonderful reunion. Lindsey’s suicidal tendencies were just too much for Shane to deal with at the time. He needed someone a lot more mentally strong to help him face his family. He shut himself out from almost everyone for a while, and chose to go to therapy so that he could feel comfortable with himself and where he was. It’s sad to say that we sort of lost touch after graduation, but he really needed to go on a self finding voyage to discover what kind of person he really was. I believe he’s in Europe right now. He visits there frequently after he found his muse there and began to write music that is starting to gain attention.

My roommate Tim ended up receiving large government grants to form his own company. He doesn’t speak much, but from what I’m guessing with everything I’ve ex-perienced, he’s being paid millions to create life-altering devices for whoever is willing to pay for it.

My other roommates Lucas ended up traveling to India to study on Buddhism. He writes to me every now and then since we seem to share similar ideas of how the world works. He told me he was fascinated with the stories I shared with him and ended up wanting to have his own meeting with God one day. He doesn’t know for certain what his purpose is yet, but he’s not going to let it get to him.

I don’t hear much from Reid. Last I’ve checked he was regional manager of a restaurant chain, and is looking into creating his own. The business is good for him because of his personality, and from what I’m picking up, the company he works for now is doing whatever it takes for him to not branch off onto his own.

After my meeting with God, Tessa began to look at me differently, like she finally accepted me for who I was. I think she’s similar to me in that we both share a special gift that we can’t really discuss with anyone... No one would really understand. They’d call us crazy. And I think she was just waiting for me to understand why I was who I am before she could treat me more kindly. Surprisingly, of all people I’ve known in my life, I am still speaking with her.

Lana’s other friend Kim, she is someone I know nothing about, we never really connected. Josh informed me that she became a little crazy. It is to be believed that her lack of identity resulted in her becoming a sexual deviant, and then when she noticed that in herself, she became so disgusted, she just disappeared. It sometimes boggles the mind to see people you once know end up like that.

As for Elyssa, she kind of flip-flopped. The final years of college, her life seemed to have turned for the better, and became one of the top in her classes. She ended up going to grad school to study psychology some more, and successfully received her degree in Therapy. It seems like her history allows her to understand and sympathize with a lot of people who flock to her for both confession and aide. She has done a lot for herself and has even formed her own family. She has two daughters of her own, both of which she promises to never treat the way her mother did to her.

Lindsey, like Shane, also went into therapy after graduation. It was a rough time for her, but she made it through. She lived with her brother for a few years before she felt confident enough to make it on her own. Life, as we all know, is both like and unlike high school in many ways. People will always compete with you, hate you, and try to gain the love and attention of others. They will be fake and shallow, with a few honest folks here and there. Once Lindsey gained the self-respect she needed to face all of that on her own, she never looked back on her own faults, and focused her efforts in becoming a counselor, so that people will not feel alone like she did.

For Josh, well, he finally did get a girl, but not for a while. He ended up with Elyssa for quite a while, since they both sort of relied on one another in many ways. Their relationship helped them mature in ways they could not without the other, and help understand themselves in more ways than they could of before. However, after working on odd jobs here and there, Josh decided to travel the world, something he always wanted to do. He hoped that the world would help him find new stories to tell as well as diversify his knowledge. Because Elyssa was too busy working on getting her degree, she could not go. At that point they both realized they couldn’t remain together, and on both mutual and friendly terms, they separated. Josh ended up going around the world with another friend of his, and while away they realized they were always going to be together. They ended up falling for each other and are now married happily.

“Clint, take a break from your book already!” Clint’s wife shouted from another room. Clint looked up from the keyboard. He was almost done and didn’t want to leave until he got everything out of his head. He pressed the save button before he replied.

“Okay Lindsey. Lindsey, okay, just let me write the final few paragraphs.” He re-plied.

“Emily is getting hungry, Clint. You watch her while I go get something for us.” Lindsey replied, while their little daughter climbed on his lap.

“Daddy, is this about when you were younger?” Emily asked.

“Yep, I have to finish it so my editor can look it over next week. Then we can play for as long as you want!” Clint answered.

“Daddy, uncle Jack told me you had purple hair, did you write that too?” She asked.

“It’s all there.” He smiled while he returned to typing...

No, Lana and I did not end up together. When I returned from heaven we had a good relationship, but the passion died down. I began to question if I was making a mistake being with my first and only girlfriend that I’ve had since high school, and she also wanted to travel. However I felt I needed to go back to school so I could get a masters in education. I wanted to become a mentor and teach children. I wanted to teach kids that it is okay to be who they are, and to follow their gut. I told her that I’d wait for her, and she agreed to do so also. However when she traveled with Josh, our distance apart from one another felt too much like how it was when I was sent to another reality. The person who would always be there for her, was not me in the end, but, well, Josh. He was always by her side, even before I came into the scene. However Josh and Lana needed to be in a relationship with me and Elyssa to fully mature and appreciate one another.

And that’s okay. I was healthy enough to know that just because Lana and I weren’t together anymore, it wasn’t the end of the world. Elyssa wanted to rebound with me for a bit, but I didn’t need that. Instead we remained friends while I focused on being happy as I studied. And then Lindsey moved in with Jack, which resulted in me seeing her a lot more often. Because I wasn’t the same as who I was back in High School, and she wasn’t miss popular no longer, we looked at each other differently. I did not put her on this pedestal, but as an equal that I’ve known since childhood. She had her weaknesses like I did, and I was attracted to her again for different reasons. The right reasons. And like what god said, I’m here on this earth to help people. As what Lindsey wanted me to be on prom, I was able to be this time, her knight in shining armor. I was her shoulder to lean on while she overcame her lack of self-esteem and regained her confidence. By the time we were both around twenty-six years old, we married. Two years later we had our first child and we named her after my sister that could’ve been, Emily.

I went on to become a motivational speaker that eventually landed me a job as a teacher. However, that wasn’t enough for me. I felt like I had to spread my story around the world. Lindsey and I discussed it for a while, and we agreed that I could take time away from teaching to work on this book. It’s only a small frame from my life. Around the time I started sophomore year in high school to after my return from god. I felt those were the time in my life that I changed the most.

And maybe it will move you. Hopefully it will motivate you. Life is not as horrible as it seems. Never forget that.

“Clint! Emily! Who wants dinner?” A call is heard from the entrance of the house.

“Coming hun.” Clint calls back while carrying Emily.

“We’re coming.”

Thank you for reading.
